why we exist

For those aged 16 to 24 in the UK, unemployment has soared to 16.1%, the highest level in almost a decade.

Young people are increasingly facing the consequences of a stalled career, without the fair support they deserve to get started.

To empower & equip young people to create opportunities and positively shape their futures.

the mission

WHY STEPPERS?

Two neurodivergent individuals started Steppers in their mid to late twenties. We’ve only recently transitioned from education to the working world ourselves. We bring knowledge, experience and a network of people who are just as dedicated to supporting the next generation.

  • It’s great to have good intentions and a desire to help, but we’ve actually had firsthand experience advocating and supporting people from all walks of life, both personally and professionally.

    • This includes those who have been through the care system, have special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health requirements.

  • Steppers takes a trauma-informed approach and works closely with mental health specialists, ADHD coaches and social workers. This ensures we’re well-equipped to support a wide variety of people while also constantly growing ourselves.

  • This allows us to deliver workshops and keynote sessions that are truly inclusive and impactful. We also have a strong awareness of commercial drivers and focus on delivering meaningful value to every organisation we work with.

We help people feel more confident in taking charge of their own lives and provide a safe space for them to benefit from having access to sounding boards. Our delivery and career partners prioritise quality over quantity.  We carefully vet all organisations we work with to ensure they align with our values and foster an environment where our supported people can flourish.
